SOUL FRIEND STUDIO

In the Celtic tradition, an Anam Cara is a soul friend — someone who meets you with compassion, walks alongside you, and sees you as you truly are. Soul Friend Studio is a space to create, a one-hour contemplative offering in the midst of a noisy world. Creative expression helps us quiet the mind and tune in to the sacred. Together we will experience how process-oriented creative expression can help us access parts of ourselves that words and thinking alone cannot reach.

BIO

Bonnie Smith Whitehouse, Ph.D. is a writer and professor who explores creativity, contemplation, and embodiment. She is the author of  In Our Hands: A Maker’s Manifesto for Changing the World Through Creative Practices (2026) and Kickstart Creativity: 50 Prompted Cards to Spark Inspiration(2021), and a two-time Nautilus Award winner — Gold Medal for Seasons of Wonder: Making the Ordinary Sacred Through Projects, Prayers, Reflections, and Rituals(2022) and Silver Medal for Afoot and Lighthearted: A Journal for Mindful Walking (2019). She is certified in Jungian Spiritual Direction and Dream Work. She holds the rank of Professor of English and serves as Senior Scholar for the Global Honors Program at Belmont University. A devoted student of Pilates, calligraphy, and watercolor, she lives in Nashville with her husband and children.

The WAY WAY West Concert

THE WAY WAY WEST is a collection of five stories based on true characters that collide at Mountain Meadows in the Utah Territory in 1857, and is a testament to the ongoing, cascading effects of one man's narcissism and pain among so many people over so many miles.

Songs from the new musical featuring the composers.
