In 1998, Reverend Becca Stevens, the Episcopal chaplain on Vanderbilt University’s campus lets the first group from St. Augustine’s to San Eduardo. Ecuador. One year later, Escuela Anne Stevens, a school named after Reverend Steven’s mother, was opened together with a medical clinic. Ever since that first journey to the center of the earth, the community of St. Augustine’s has returned to continue to serve this sister community.
La Cara de Dios: The Face of God was written by Carol Hagen as a way to support the school’s continued growth. All proceeds from the sale of this book will support the teachers and students of Escuela Anne Stevens.
